With the ESSENTIAL FOODS referral programme, approved participants may refer new customers to ESSENTIAL FOODS.

When a new customer applies your unique discount code at essentialfoods.com the new customer receives a discount of 30€ on their first purchase. As a referrer, you receive a referral credit worth 10% of the referred customer’s first spend and 10% of the referred customer’s subsequent purchases on essentialfoods.com over a period of 18 months.

The 18 months start on the date of the referred customer’s first approved purchase.

The referral programme is for approved the ESSENTIAL FOODS Ambassadors Club members granted access to the programme by ESSENTIAL FOODS.
ESSENTIAL FOODS may at any time deny, limit or revoke access to the referral programme if a participant no longer meets the conditions for participation or if the programme is used in breach of these Terms & Conditions.

The referred customer receives a 30€ discount on their first purchase from essentialfoods.com when applying your unique referral code.

The discount may solely be applied by new customers and not by pre-existing customers of ESSENTIAL FOODS. The discount may not be exchanged for cash, sold on or transferred to a third party.

The discount may only be applied once per customer and once per household/address.
ESSENTIAL FOODS may decline application of the discount if we find that the customer is not a new customer, that a referral code has already been applied by the same customer or household, or that the code is used in breach of the purpose of the programme.

As a referrer, you earn referral credits worth 10% of any net purchase by the referred customer from essentialfoods.com over a period of 18 months.

Net purchase means the price of the product less discounts and excluding delivery charges, fees, gift cards, returned items, reimbursements and other credits.
Referral credits may only be spent on purchases from essentialfoods.com. The credit cannot be paid out as cash, sold, transferred or exchanged for other services unless otherwise stated in mandatory national legislation.

A qualified referral is a purchase made from essentialfoods.com by a new customer who applies your unique referral code, and where all the present Terms & Conditions are met.

For a referral to be approved, the following conditions must be met:

• The referred customer must be a new customer of ESSENTIAL FOODS.
• The referred customer must apply your unique referral code to their purchase.
• The order must have a minimum value of 30€ after the discount has been applied.
• The referrer and the referred customer must not be the same person.
• The referrer and the referred customer must not share the same household address.
• Only one referral may be made per customer, and one referral per household/address.
• The order must not be cancelled, returned, refunded or deemed to be misuse.

Subsequent purchases by the same referred customer do not count as new qualified referrals, but will continue to generate 10% in referral credits for the referrer over a period of 18 months.

A referral credit will not be approved until the referred customer’s order has been paid for, processed, and has not been subsequently cancelled, returned or refunded.

If an order is fully or partially returned, cancelled, refunded or credited, ESSENTIAL FOODS may fully or partially revoke the associated referral credit.
ESSENTIAL FOODS may also revoke or reject a referral credit if the credit is obtained in error, by technical misuse, self-referral, false information, duplicate accounts, fake orders or other circumvention of the purposes of the programme.

You must be signed in to your ESSENTIAL FOODS partner shop account to view and spend your accrued referral credits.

Your available referral credit total is displayed at the checkout when you place an order in the essential foods partner shop. You can also view your earned credits in your personal referrals overview by signing in and selecting “Referral” in the menu.

Referral credits may solely be redeemed at essentialfoods.com and may not be redeemed on other websites, from online or physical retailers unless expressly indicated otherwise by ESSENTIAL FOODS.

You are permitted to share your referral code with friends, family, puppy/kitten buyers and other relevant individuals whom you genuinely wish to refer to ESSENTIAL FOODS.

Your referral code must be shared in a lawful, fair and transparent manner.
If you share your code with the general public or in a commercial context, including on social media, websites, blogs, in newsletters, groups or the like, you must explicitly inform readers that you will receive a benefit if the recipient applies your code.
Example of explicit information:
“Advertisement: I receive a credit from ESSENTIAL FOODS if you make a purchase using my code.”

You are not permitted to share your referral code via discount sites or apps, discount voucher or coupon portals, or similar services.

You are likewise not permitted to make use of paid advertisements, search engine advertising, misleading marketing, hidden advertising, spam or unsolicited electronic mailings for distributing your code.

You must not send your referral code by email, text message, direct message, Messenger, social media or other electronic channels to persons who have not requested it, or where making such contact is otherwise in breach of the applicable marketing regulations.

You are personally responsible for ensuring that the means by which you share the referral code are in compliance with applicable legislation, including regulations on spam, marketing and hidden advertising.
ESSENTIAL FOODS has the right to deny you access to the referral programme and to revoke any credits accrued if we believe that your code has been shared in breach of such regulations.

ESSENTIAL FOODS reserves the right to reject, revoke or cancel referral credits or to close or restrict a referrer or referee account if the programme is misused.

Misuse includes, but is not limited to:

• Self-referral or attempted self-referral.
• The use of multiple accounts for the same person or household.
• Fake, false or scam orders.
• Orders placed with a view to subsequently returning the items ordered.
• Sharing of the code on discount sites or apps, or voucher or coupon portals.
• Spam or unsolicited marketing.
• Hidden advertising or misleading marketing.
• The use of paid ads for promoting the referral code.
• Circumvention of the limitation to a single referral per customer or household.
• Other actions deemed by ESSENTIAL FOODS to be in breach of the purposes of the programme.

If a referral credit is earned or redeemed in breach of these conditions, ESSENTIAL FOODS may demand reimbursement of the value or offset the amount against future credits, orders or other receivables.

ESSENTIAL FOODS may at any time amend, suspend or cancel the referral programme.

In the event of material programme amendments or cancellation, ESSENTIAL FOODS will as far as possible issue reasonable notice. Notice may be issued by email, on the ESSENTIAL FOODS website or via the account on which the referral programme is administered.

In the event of cancellation of the programme, any already accrued and valid referral credits will be redeemable in the notified transitional period unless the credit was earned in breach of these conditions or in the event of misuse.

ESSENTIAL FOODS is under no obligation to award compensation for future or anticipated referral credits not yet accrued or approved.

ESSENTIAL FOODS disclaims all liability for technical errors, temporary unavailability, system errors, delays, misregistration or other events disrupting the referral programme.

In the event of an error in the registration, calculation or awarding of referral credits, ESSENTIAL FOODS reserves the right to rectify the error and adjust the affected credit.

ESSENTIAL FOODS processes personal data in connection with the referral programme in order to administer the programme, register referrals, calculate referral credits, prevent misuse and render services to customers.

Personal data are processed in compliance with the ESSENTIAL FOODS privacy policy, as published on essentialfoods.com.
